Helping Haiti

(Please read to the end!!!)

Frustration.
That's what I have been feeling for the last week.

Every time I hug my Mom or Dad, turn on my computer, or sit down to eat a wonderful meal with my family, I think of the orphans in Haiti. They are suffering and alone, but for a few brave souls who are putting their lives on the line to save them.

I've been sitting here wondering what I can do. How can I help? I've been racking my brain for days to think of some way that I could be of help. I would love to donate to their cause, but have not the funds to do so.

Finally, this morning, I had an idea.

I have a couple bins of product that I recently made up for my business, Natural Satin Skin.
Sugar Scrubs, Lip Scrubs, Clay Masks, and Refreshing Sprays...

After a little thought, I have decided to offer this:

100% of the profit from All Sales will go to the "Rescue Haiti's Children" fund.


I would really appreciate it if you would prayerfully consider this. If you have been thinking about making a purchase from me, then now is the best time to do so! If you're not interested in the products for yourself but want to help, know that they make great gifts for others.

Orphans in Haiti

I wanted to type up a quick post and request that you watch this video
and send it to everyone you know.

Haitian Orphan Rescue

Someone we know is over in Haiti right now and was involved in making this video.
The orphans' needs are great and quick action is required to save lives.

Above all, please pray for them!

Also, this article about Planned Parenthood and Haiti is rather disturbing. Apparently, there hasn't been a sufficient amount of deaths in Haiti for them (PP). It is very sad.

Before I end, I'd like to mention Jesus' words in Matthew 25:37-45...

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

101%

I saw this after a friend had posted it and thought it was worth sharing. Even though math was never my favorite subject, I think it's an interesting perspective... ;-)

From a strictly mathematical viewpoint:

What Equals 100% ?

What does it mean to give MORE than 100% ?

Ever wonder about those people who say they
are giving more than 100% ?

We have all been in situations where someone wants you to

GIVE OVER 100%...

How about ACHIEVING 101% ?

What equals 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help
answer these questions:

A Whole New World

I know the title of this post sounds rather dramatic, but it's true.

Yesterday, I received my Induro tripod in the mail, and I know things will never be the same for me (as far as photography goes)!

The increased clarity of my shots is amazing,
leaving me to wonder why I didn't buy one sooner...


Even though I only had a very short time yesterday to experiment, I'm already loving it. I have so much to learn, but I thought I'd share a few of the pictures I took around our house.
